KRISTIN ST.MARTIN

Kristin St. Martin is a mixed media artist that completed a MA at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

She paints intuitively inspired by color and textures found in nature. Each layer contrasts the previous layer and is disturbed or conserved as a response to memories of visual forms, colors and the landscapes I have encountered. My paintings can be seen as direct landscapes or seascapes, or they can equally be seen as abstract expressionist works about color, form, and surface. The dialogue between these two different perceptions creates a dynamic artistic tension within the work.
